The Fairchild Imaging CMOS sensors are called Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) since they are designed with a superior combination of features that are able to meet the extreme performance requirements of many scientific applications. These sensors can be found inside the top cameras being used today in the Scientific Imaging marketplace, including the Fairchild Imaging SciMOS 2051 F2 camera.
