Our sCMOS sensors are revolutionary imaging devices, developed over multiple yeas by some of the top CMOS designers in the industry, which combine the following exceptional qualities:

The Fairchild Imaging CMOS sensors are called Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) since they are designed with a superior combination of features that are able to meet the extreme performance requirements of many scientific applications. These sensors can be found inside the top cameras being used today in the Scientific Imaging marketplace, including the Fairchild Imaging SciMOS 2051 F2 camera. These sensors are also being employed in higher performance niches in Security and Surveillance, due to their high sensitivity and their high dynamic range as well as the low cost in higher volumes. Our sCMOS sensors allow our customers to collect images under lower light conditions and at higher speeds than were possible with standard technology.
